Science Lab

Mrs. Martines taught us new and interesting things having to do with science. We learned about differnet resources, and got into detail about where they were from, what they were, and what the uses of the resource were. We found out that 42% of our energy is from natural gas, over things that were 2%, such as solar and water power. The room 14 students also learned that nuclear power, the resource that caused Japan's horrible tsunami, is so dangerous, that Fresno put up a ban that no more nuclear plants be built. Today's science lab handed out a lot of knowledge to room 14 students.

Computer Lab

The making of rich, creamy, and sweet chocolates, our own online math tutor, and much more. We, room 14ers, learned many interesting and new things in computer lab today. We went to different sites including Wonderopolis, and the Khan Academy. We watched videos of how people make chocolate. First, they take the chocolate powder, mix it with milk, and roll them into little wet squares. To make the design, they put a special sheet of paper, with a design, on the melty chocolates, and the design appears on them! We also saw Mr. Salman Khan with the Khan Academy on a PBS interview, and learned how Salman started his math tutoring in a little closet, and then Bill Gates discovered him, and his amazing work, and paid him 3 million dollars for people to start working with him. Then,Google discovered him, and paid him 1 million dollars to have even more people with him. We learned about the wonders of fancy delights, the discovery of our math genius Salman, and many other things in the computer lab!
